Indian High Commission assures assistance to Indians stranded in Maldives

The Indian High Commission in the Maldives said that many have expressed their desire to return back home to India due to corona virus outbreak in Male’. However, the High Commission said that as the Central Government informed the Kerala High Court yesterday that it is no longer returning Indians abroad, the matter will updated to all Indians in the Maldives.

The High Commission released the information through Twitter page. The Indian government said it would work with the Maldivian government to ensure the welfare of Indians. The government is setting up better health systems. Lockdown has been announced in the country until April 30. The High Commission has also shared on Twitter the email ID and phone number of Indians to contact Indians for essential services.
