Speaking in a press conference, spokesperson for COVID-19 Mabrook Azeez revealed that 173 samples take from Kuredu Island Resort has tested negative.
Government decided to collect samples from all employees working on the island as cases was discovered on the island. According to authorities everyone stranded on island would be released after tested.
As the first two cases in Maldives emerged from Kuredu Island Resort when two Italian tested positive tested for COVID-19 after returning home to Italy. Currently, the case is being investigated by Maldives Police Services and immigration has seized the passport of the doctor whom has involved in the case.
