
Bangladesh repatriates its 152 nationals from the Maldives.
The reparation flight was operated by Maldivian Airlines on Friday from Velana International Airport.
The operation is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the corporation with other relevant agencies.
Earlier 300 Bangladeshi nationals were taken home by Biman Airlines on Saturday and 67 on Sunday.
The government had informed talks are underway to repatriate undocumented migrant workers are living illegally. It has been reported that the government is working on helping these individuals and some have been provided with shelter.
Furthermore, it’s been reported that a second repatriation flight is gonna be operated on Friday by Maldivian to send 200 Bangladeshi nationals back home.
