Maldives Police Services have announced 30-year-old man has been arrested.

The following was announced via Police Facebook account. According to Facebook, the man was arrested from Addu city and the post mentions that 3 women have been assaulted in the case.

Furthermore, Facebook also mentions the assault occurred because of the offender, not the victim’s fault. The police have stated the case is under investigation and asked everyone to report such cases.
