President Ibrahim Solih has moved the re-opening date for the opening of government offices in the Maldives.
The President had earlier announced via Twitter today that government offices would be open tomorrow. However, the president office reads the date for government offices openings being moved back by a day to July 2.
The government offices would now be open from 09:00 to 13:00 during this period.
As of March 19 government offices has been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The government has declared a state of public health emergency on March 11.
However, the president allowed several government offices to open in order to provide essential services.
As restriction eases shops, cafes, restaurants and private offices would be allowed to open.
