The government has decided to cease operations of the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) and has decided to open all offices, shops and cafes.
The announcement was made on Tuesday morning by the President via his Twitter. The following Tweet as follows:
The president had also thanked all health professionals, frontline workers, governmental agencies and volunteers for their contribution.
NEOC is the largest operation that was established by the government with several multiple government organisations. The president announced the ceasing of operations of NEOC and transferring all responsibilities to the Ministry of Health on Monday evening at the center.
The government would move forward with a phase to combat the virus starting from July. According to the president, the government would move forward a new normal.
While coronavirus cases initially have been reducing. The government has started to ease restrictions and also the government has announced the border opening on 15 July as well.
