Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem, on Tuesday, has decided not to prosecute people for violating the lockdown order placed on Great Male’ Region.
According to a statement released by the PG office, it states PG shameem would not be going ahead in prosecuting people for violation and arrests made during the lockdown period. However, the fines which were placed on the individual would be imposed and the individual is required to pay the fines.
In reference to the statement, the decision not to prosecute individuals was decided to treat everyone fair treatment under the law and because of a lot of being stranded in Male’.
Despite the following PG office noted that they would work to collect the fines placed on individuals during the lockdown.
