Maldives most southern city Addu has confirmed its first COVID-19 case.
A individual whom has been placed in home quarantine in Addu city Feydhoo has tested positive for the virus. Sources has confirmed the man arrived to Addu city on the August 6th and its been reported that the man is police officer.
The man has been placed in home quarantine for 14 days and after completing the home quarantine as a procedure he was asked to to do the test. During this test the man had tested positive for the virus.
According to procedure anyone leaving home quarantine are required to COVID-19 test before being released. This COVID-19 case comes after neighboring city of Fuvahmulah confirmed its first COVID-19 case.
