
Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Sunday has announced that cases in the Maldives have surpassed 5,000 with additional 143 cases been confirmed today.
According to the HPA Maldives COVID-19 confirmed cases have reached 5,041. Even though a confirmed number have been reported high 2,218 cases has been reported to be amongst the confirmed cases.
HPA has started that 1,478 patients are placed in isolation while 140 patients been hospitalized.
In the most recent days, the Maldives has seen a huge growth in the number of cases. Looking at the number of cases below 877 cases has tested positive for COVID-19.
Due to the most recent surge in numbers, authorities have put travel bans to the Maldives and mandatory mask orders have been placed on the islands.
