Maldives Police Service has arrested seven locals in special operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Department in Male’ city

The Police Services has noted that a search was conducted in a household in Male’ City and found a large amount drugs along with cash during the operation. The Police noted that operations was conducted on Monday.

The seven man has been identified age 19, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 28. The operation was conducted in Henveiru district under a special warrant. Police seized 42 empty film canisters, 28 plastic packets, 216 cellophane pieces and small plastic bag of suspected drugs.

Police gas also further noted that seized a hand-rolled tobacco cigarette, an alcohol bottle and 225 pills of ED prescription medication along with MVR 17,150 in cash.
