
Maldives Port Limited Chairman Mohamed Zaki blows the whistle on an MVR 8 Million corruption with his company.
The following was announced via Twitter where he stated that he was unable to suspend a couple of employees related to the case. He noted that 3 members voted in favour of suspending while 4 members voted against the suspension.
He further noted that employees of fuel supply of Maldives were also involved in the corruption.
In regards to this, the company has come out with a statement stating that this corrupted transaction took place during COVID-19 pandemic. It’s also been reported that the report has been forwarded to Auditor general office.
